PC Chase Rewards to Freedom?

Hi all,

I am looking into PCing my Chase Rewards card (old WaMu CC) to a Chase Freedom, but I have a couple questions.

When PCing through Chase, will they 100% keep the APR the same? Now I know it isn't fantastic, but I have a 12.24% APR through my current Chase Rewards card. I only ask because I saw in the terms that for new approvals the lowest APR advertised is 13.99%. I obviously don't want to go backwards, and for this quarter at least - I have my Discover card for the 5% cashback at Restaurants.

What is the best way to go about it with Chase? SM? Call? If I go the SM route, does anyone have any ideas on an approximate timeframe that I would hear back?

Thanks! I just PC'ed my Capital One Platinum to a Quicksilver earlier today - wow was that easy! Hoping that this will be as easy as it was with Capital One. Amex won't budge on trying to PC my Amex Blue to a BCP or BCE... Only offering the Everyday - and I keep declining hoping that they will change their mind eventually.

Yes, your APR terms and CL will remain the same when you PC. I would call, just to see if your account is elegible for the PC. But, it also depends on what you prefer as a contact method. If SM, be sure to outline the specifics of your request. Unfortunately, not sure how long it would take for a response via SM since I typically call whenever I have a general question (which is usually rare).

Awesome and congratulations on your Freedpm PC! Much better reward options! You definitely needed to say bye to the WaMU memories LOL. I'm glad to hear it all worked out!
