Really want to apply for Bank of America better balance

Can anybody give me tips on what bureau they pull from? Credit scores necessary for approval, etc? Also do you think I am ready to apply?:
Closed (per my request) credit card 8000/11500
Open::
Chase: 5070/7000
Kay: 343/4600
Synchrony: 0/3500
Line of Credit: 120/2500
One plus 30, reported March 2013
Inquiries: 2 each (same lenders on each of them) for Eq and Ex, 3 on TU (just did inquiry Apr 3rd).
My fico score from that recent hard pull was 671, according to TransUnion.
also, working on two student loans not in deferment

I believe they're usually a TU puller.

It looks as though you primarily have store cards. BBR is not known as one of the easiest cards to get, but maybe someone can chime in with app experience.

Sketchy at best for the BBR (especially with the late reporting from 2013) but anything is possible. Your utilization seems a bit high on the Chase CC (might want to get that lowered for more optimal results). They can pull EX or TU (but it depends).

Ok thank you, its good to know its TU. Now, I should also note that I may wait till Mid November to apply, so I will only have one inquiry on My TU and zero on EX and EQ. Also I have a plan in place by November to have my chase card paid down to 3000, if not more.

If you can get the utilization down to about 20% - 30% that might work and work on getting those scores up by November. Worse case scenario (if declined), you can always see about a reconsideration.

I was declined for bbr with a 698 ex fico for a 6 year old 30 day late earlier this year

EX for Account opening.

TU for CLI's

TU for everything if you're a baller.

Was denied on the EX pull but approved with the TU on Recon for BBR card.

Would be to your favor to bring that Utility down as suggested too

Got the BOA Cash Rewards VISA Sig last week - Opened w/ $21K CL - Pulled Experian - just refreshed TU and EQ and no BOA HP on those.

Also agree, your utilization seems a bit high.

Wow, a 6 year old 30 day late got you denied??? Darn, any general advice on credit cards, preferably through a bank, that would not be as picky for my particular FICO? Any other bank of America cards that more people seem to get approved for?

I still like Barclay's Recon the best.

BoA/FIA reconsideration (Yes, I C/O'd 7+yrs ago but paid them a year later..), while for the most part friendly were serious about their gate keeping. Wouldn't even give me a pissant $500 to screw around with.

Well, they are protecting their fortress after all! But 15 recons is insane. Maybe, you'll score better with them next year? There's always that option. Plus we know you still want BBR and/or Fidelity AMEX.

Upon finding out about this card a couple of weeks ago, I was interested but saw some people in different threads mentioning that it was likely going to be discontinued soon so I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea or not. Any recent news on this?

They pulled EX for my app but have pulled TU for my CLI and EQ once.

BoA does have a good recon chances though at least in my experience . I got denied for the MLB cash rewards card but called the backdoor and without even asserting much effort got it approved for $2,500 CL. Now it's at $10,000
