IMO it's not worth an AAoA ding unless you plan on BTing something or making an intro APR purchase, but if you have it, it's well worth it to keep the card for the EX score.

I got a slate card last year to take advantage of the BT 0% offer but now that everything is paid off i dont see much use for it. I transferred the credit limit (all but 500) over to my freedom card. Now what?

Should i transfer the remaining 500 to my freedom card and close slate or is there some value in keeping the slate card that I am just not seeing?

Thanks in advance.

Ask them to upgrade you to the new Slate and save it for your free EX score.

You can get your card PC'd to the Slate version with the free EX FICO (at least, most have been able to do that). Otherwise, if that's not a significant benefit for you, there is no other hidden benefit. The Freedom is a rewards card, the Slate is not.

However, with only 500 remaining on the Slate anyway you may just keep it open for the FICO if you are one who doesn't mind an "extra" card. I would be in the camp of consolidating and closing, but opinions vary.

How have people been getting it converted? Just sending a secure message? Any pulls on the credit report to get the card upgraded?

Credit tracker is a FAKO score so as useless as CK or CS.
No HP for an upgrade. Most people I've noticed sent a secure message request. You could also call.
