This seems pretty good!

$100 Cash Back with US Bank Cash+ Visa Signature Credit Card w/ $500 Spent in First 3 Months

$100 cash-back bonus when you make $500 in net purchases within the first 90 days.
5% cash back on your first $2k in combined net purchases each quarter on 2 categories you CHOOSE.
2% cash back on your choice of one everyday category (like gas or groceries).
1% cash back on everything else.
No limit on total cash back earned.

Also, there is no annual fee on this card.

2% on Gas Stations, Grocery Stores and Restaurants

Have this card. Love this card.

Got it when there was no online app or $100 signup bonus. Got about $50 in extra cashback from dining when that was the case in 2 months; so I like to think I got a lower signup bonus

My current selections are car rentals and cell phone. Runs about $400-$500 / month.

To whoever thinks of app, make sure your profile supports it right off the bat. 720+ scores preferred. Otherwise you risk getting the lower-tier card with much worse rewards.

It is indeed a great card, but as suggested above, when it was first released, the card's rewards were even better -- so much so that presumably U.S. Bank couldn't sustain profitability with it and reduced some of the most lucrative aspects of its reward structure (uncapped 5% categories, all restaurants as a 5% category, recurring bonus $25 when redeeming $100 in rewards). Truly, when it was released, the rewards structure was so ridiculously good that it seems amazing to me that U.S. Bank couldn't see coming the havoc they just unleashed on themselves.

Unfortunately, due to it having seen better days rewards-wise, the Cash+ is an oft maligned card on myFICO, especially amongst those who remember the card from its inception and have seen its decline in rewards.

That said, in its current form, I still think it's a very good card, and I honestly believe if it had originally been released in its current form, the Cash+ would have a lot more respect on myFICO.

If you do not qualify for the U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa Signature Card, you will automatically be considered for the U.S. Bank Cash Rewards Visa Card that earns 1% cash back on all net purchases, but does not offer the 5% and 2% Cash+ Categories. <<<< If they got rid of this and brought back 5% restaurants we could talk.

Not a terrible card but depending on what you currently have in the line up it may not be all that useful either. Not worth the gamble to possibly end up with a 1% card you *might* be able to PC later IMO.

Agreed -- I'd rather just waste an HP and get declined over getting an HP, a crappy card I won't use and the hit to AAoA for a new account. It does seem like some have had success PC'ing later but I wouldn't want to gamble on that.

Would love to apply for this card, but everytime I go onto their site to see if I'm preapproved it ushers me to a prepaid card, not even the rewards card. I thought a 710 tu score would at least get me that.

My wife who has a much better score than me gets the same treatment.

Their pre-app page is pretty bad. Don't judge your profile by US Bank pre-app.

A close approximation will be the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Go over to Chase's site and see if either of you can get a CSP pre-app (assuming that you don't have it already). If you're getting one, (a) you have solid chances of getting the CSP and (b) you have pretty good chances of getting the Cash+.

Make sure all 3 CRs are in right shape

all I got from their Pre app is debit card.

But they approved cash+ for 12K 3 years ago and club carlson for 15K last year. my highest CL both time.

Just be aware most application goes to manual review, if you get 7-10 msg, it perfect normal.
