Which cc companies send emails about cards?

So I'm wondering if all credit card companies send emails about cards being mailed and things like that. Are they suppose to?

They will if you have signed up to have your email address as a contact method.

Most of the major banks like to use email and texting as contact methods for

account information if you will consent to it.

Good question. I was curious as I don't pay attention to expiration dates on my cc's. IME, Capital One was the only company to send me an email when they sent a new one in before it expired.

Bank of America has sent me "Your card should be arriving soon" emails.

TD Bank has my email for my new card. Maybe they just don't send emails like that. I just assumed the card is going to arrive soon.

No -- do not assume all creditors to be identical. Some do, some do not.

Correct. They are not required to provide such notifications/alerts. Some like Citi, Capital One, Barclays, Discover, etc. will send those notifications.

Just exercise patience, you'll get your card eventually.

Capital One and Barclay have both sent me email regarding my cards. Just recently I requested chipped cards from Capital one and they sent me an email saying the cards were mailed. They also sent me an email saying that my new Venture card had been mailed. Barclay sent me an email awhile back letting me know that they were shipping me a new card because of the Home Depot breach.
