Garden Strong....Turned Down Pre-Approved BOA Travel Rewards

Called BOA to see about a rate reduction and CSR said I didn't have one on my account. But, she did see I had a pre-approved offer for Travel Rewards. I thanked her and politely declined. Told her I didnt need anymore new accounts right now. Glad I had the willpower to not accept it! #gardenstrong

Very proud of you baller! Besides, you already did a test run with BBVA and AMEX not long ago reported your most recent approval as a new account based on their recent reporting policy. I don't have this specific BoA card and given I already plenty of travel CCs - it would be overkill. Plus, since you don't travel much to reap the benefits, it woudn't make sense with your portfolio.

So, PenFed is the prize indeed! Just FYI, after Defender AMEX approval, I went for PLOC based on Irish's suggestion... I'll let you know the outcome

I'm using my next TU inq to cli my Cash Rewards from $20k to $30/$40k. Last thing I needed was a Travel card. I add cards that make sense for my needs. I do NEED IHG and AARP. But those will be AFTER Penfed.
