Venture Madness? What's going on?

Hello Family, I hope all is well and you had a great day today. My questions to you all, I have been reading the forumns and everyone talking about Venture, can you please let me know what happen and what is the talk about. I just want to be up to date on the latest trends. It seems like their giving high increases, if someone can please give me the original link. I do have a Quicksilver. Not applying just want to know the current excitement. I love you all your awesome for giving us wonderful information everyday

Nothing much... Just that if your profile supports it, CAP 1 computers will luv you and approve you for mega lines. Just type in Venture approvals in the search feature and all the excitement will come up..

It's several months old now... They were giving high SL to just about everyone. Now some of those people are getting decent CLIs as well.

Although Cap One is giving huge limits on the Venture and it may work for some, I think it was a very overrated bandwagon. You say you have a Quicksilver. The Venture, after year one, when the AF kicks in, is not a huge win over QS, and you are restricted to travel redemptions only if you want your full 2%.

To me, a huge limit on a restrictive card is not very exciting, but to each their own. I have a QS and would much rather stick to it then go for 0.5% more only redeemable for travel. However, a lot of people liked the Venture enough to app for it.

Can try to downgrade to venture one after the first year if you can't get AF waived.

Not a "great " card but there are worse this is a good card and is now my highest limit by 2k which is nice.

Good to know info from some of the responses here. I am considering this card as well due to the SLs, but in terms of cash rewards, it seems I may be better off working with Freedom and BoA for CLI.

I recently applied and was approved for 15k, my highest limit other then Lowes. I figured the sign up bonus was worth it for now, will see how I like the card and if it is worth it as the AF approaches. Besides my other two Cap 1 cards are lower limits and I have had them for years, so this finally gets me a decent limit with Cap 1 and I won't feel bad closing the other cards if they won't PC to a non-AF card (already closed one last month that had a $900 limit).
