I applied for a capital one for me and my BF. My BF was denied at the same time and I got the 7 to 10 day message about the approval. I did both applications within minutes of each other. Do you guys think the 7 to 10 day message means I am denied as well?

I was just sitting here thinking. Instead of worrying about my credit I should be preparing for Hurricane Gustav. I guess I am just obsessed with my credit LOL.

I recieved the same message when I applied for a card with them 3 months ago. A card arrived in my mail box 7 days after that and I just recieved a $300 CLI to make a total of $600 CL

I was denied after the 7-10 day message. "Too many inquiries" was the excuse, funny thig is I only had seven INQ's at the time, and 4 of those were banks competeing to see who shafted me on my car loan.

Well, I too was denied even with me having a Cap One card in good standing. I thought oh well, and about 5 days later I received a new card! $300 limit on this one but will increase to 500 in 3 months.

I had no problem getting a card last December, but they are very conservative with CLs. Absolutely not my favorite!

I called the the backdoor number to check the application status and the recording stated I was approved and my information will be mailed to me by 9/16/08. How do I find out what the credit limit is?
