Declined for BoA Secured Card?

I just applied and was declined for a BoA secured card. TU 602, EX 649. Any Ideas?

Are you a member of a credit union? You may be able to get an unsecured card if you print out your EX report and bring it in.

Yes, im a member of Pentagon Federal. Arent they credit sticklers?

Call the backdoor reconsideration number listed on the stickies and talk to them about it. Do you have a BK showing on your credit reports? They are very BK unfriendly...even for their secured cards.

Hi, this may not be true I had a BK from year 99 i was approved for a secured card from BOA 9/07 score at that time around high 500's low 600's i applied $300.00 at the time then later on added another $200.00. I paid on time and in 9 months my card graduated to regular platinium card with a cli of $500.00 and i still have a BK on my credit reports. This is a very good card if you treat it right, I really would call the reconsideration department and convince them to give you this card, it is a really good card for the rebuilding stage. you have to be 1 year from any baddies, bk, etc.

took me 4 times with backdoor number to finally get approved.
