I know there are people on this board with multiple CapOne cards.

Can anyone speak to the shortest amount of time they were able to hit the love button and get success back-to-back? I've heard people say that Capital One requires 6 months between increases... but I wondered if with the recent changes Capital One has put in place with more generous LUV... has anyone been able to ever get CLI on the site within a couple months of each other?

I was an idiot and accepted a 300 -> 400 increas (just $100) in early February and am wondering if I could get it increased higher with my scores about to jump.. I know there are EO options somtimes.. but I'm curious about the luv button.

Question 2... I have a secured card and a QS1... any chance for approval of a third card as another option?

Thanks,

I have several cap1 cards. Old plat mc converted to qs1 opened 300 dollar limit in 2011. Credit steps to 500 after like seven months. No love for a year. Then auto luv button of 500. Called eo and within a few says it was raised to 3000k. No luv for almos 2 years. I dont use it except for a netflix charge. Last month hit the luv button and got 2k more. Qs visa luv button worked on 5th statement. I have never received auto luv just appearing. And the button has never worked
On the same card in a period of less than 6 months from the last increase.

This past Friday was the 6 month (180 day) mark from my last cli with Cap1. I had it marked in my calendar. I decided last Tues to hit the luv button to see what happened and I was denied because there was a recent increase on the account. On Friday I tried again and got an instant approval. So for me at least the 6 months rule still applied.

6 months, has been pretty consistent for me. The only CLI I have gotten from them before that was on my Venture, which had a $15k CL, and I think I hit the luv button at 65 days, or something around there. It offered me only a $750 CLI, which I stupidly accepted. I heard others declined the small CLI and were later granted $3000 or more. Sept 23, I will be eligible for my next CLI's on 3 of my cards. I'm gonna take what I get then combine them, as my Venture and my Venture One will have been opened for at least 6mos. Maybe I should wait until November and hit them all up, then combine.

I've been playing around with my cards to see when the tipping point is for the message to change. On my new cards (QS1 and V1) they both were a go around day 65 but i didn't actually get them until around day 75 because the message went from account too new to something different. Made a big payment on the QS1 and a couple days later it offered me a $5k increase. I'm going to see if that holds true for my V1.

After that the 180 day rule has held firm. So try for an initial CLI after a couple of statements and monitor the denial reason. Watch for it to change off the account too new and then you know what to change to try and get the computer to flip the flag (i.e. higher payments, utilization across accounts, etc.)
