Capital One CLI Luv Button clarification from EO!

Hi all! Cap 1 EO has been working with me on an issue. In addition, I just happened to ask about the CLI Luv Button. The nice lady did take 24 hours to research my question and got back with me today. Here were my questions: Q1) DOES IT MATTER HOW OFTEN I HIT THE CLI BUTTON ONLINE? A) NOT AT ALL. Q2) If I HIT THE CLI BUTTON WEEKLY, WILL IT RESET A CLOCK FOR CLI ELIGIBILITY? A) NO, IF YOU'RE ELIGIBLE, YOU WILL RECEIVE A CLI WHEN IT'S TIME, EVEN IF YOU REQUEST CLI DAILY!

Hope this helps some of you that have a Venture or other card, and worried that frequent CLI requests would impact the approval or reset a clock. This is good news for us who are obsessed with increasing limits via soft pull vs hard pull. Especially good news for those of us that are gardening!

Is the SP only for certain Cap1 cards such as Venture or some of the newer cards? The reason I ask is because the last time I clicked the luv button on 12/08/14, Cap1 specifically did a HP on my EQ credit report... (I have an older No Hassle Miles MC product with them though; don't know if this makes a difference or not, in terms of product generations?)

Just saw this and figured I'd push the button..was planning on requesting a CLI through the EO next month. Looks like i dont have to. QS card just went from 2k to 4k

I hit it everyday lol whenI know I am coming close... 30 plus declines for being early, but on paperless thank gosh..Then there is commedity which doesn't give you a papeless rejection option..

I'm 5 months into Capitol One Credit Steps and literally just hit the love button and got the 2-3 day message. Glad to know that this wont affect my bump next month :-)

Good to know. I will def hit the button more often now lol. I was worried too that it'll look suspicious hitting it to often.

Now i just wonder if it's the same with discover? Lol

Ooh, I'd love a definitive answer from Discover on that too. Since my statement cut yesterday, and I have both paid it down some and actually used it for a couple purchases, I'm going to try again tonight!

ETA: 1k success. Yes, definitely addicting.

I just tried again with discover after receiving 1800 last week. Was denied just now. Lol. Probably tried again too soon lol.

After reading the forums, I found out that capital one likes to see a lot of useage of their cards. I personally, I ran through my credit limit several times a month and paying in full 2 to 3 times a month. I received a CLI on all my cards within 2 months of opening them. However, I am currently in credit steps as well. I don't see that increase until around September.

My friend received a 2000 increase from cap1 after running through his limit multiple times a month and pif each time. So if you're doing the same then you should get rewarded just as nicely.

This was really helpful for me. In credit steps with cap1 qs visa no AF, initial CL of $1000. Was supposed to get automatic bump to $1500 after 5 on time payments (no joke, I think I have made 10 payments some months). When u use this card to pay everything possible to earn the 1.5% it really does add up FAST. Hit that LUV button, and CHA CHING, automatic increase of $2,000 with a total CL of $3,000! TU: 659 EQ: 669 MyFico 688. I am so glad, I was worried being in steps I would be locked into a low limit. Love using Amex Serve to pay my bill, often times its next business day. And to think, my friend said I was dumb for paying bills, then 2 days later paying that charge in full.
