Update: I called Barclay's today, and spoke with a manager, who confirmed that my T&C indicates redemption at 1,000 points, not 2500, as listed in the Rewards section on my online account. She said that redemtion is now at 2,500 points for new accounts. I questioned as to why it still shows 1,000 as a bullet point on the application page. She was perplexed. I now have a case that is being escalated with the EO. I'm sure they will take the necessary action to fix my account.

BONUS! She then asked if there was anything else I needed help with. I asked if I could get my APR lowered. She checked for offers, and told me I was only eligible for a CLI. ONLY?! LOL! She asked if I wanted to proceed , and ensured me that it was a SP only. I got $1,000 increase. Not bad for opening the account just last month with a SL of $1500. I called a few weeks later, and spoke with a credit analyst who increased CL to $3000. As of today, I'm at $4,000. Funny thing is, I wasn't even looking for a CLI!

Hi all! When I applied for my Barclaycard Rewards MC, I read on their website that you can redeem starting at 1000 points= $10. However, when I go online into my account, the minimum starts at 2500 points= $25. This is pretty misleading if I'm not eligible for redemption at 1000 points. I checked all the different options, including gift cards, statement credit, or cash back. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!

Cash back rewards are earned as points which can be redeemed for rewards such as cash back statement credits and gift cards starting at 1,000 points for $10

Call barclay's and ask. The other cards (except travel cards, some) all start at 2500 pts ($25). Maybe your account is not set up right, or they change the terms and conditions.

Thank you. I have a feeling it's a Terms & Conditions issue.

I was able to redeem $11 and $16 on my Rewards MC.

Just checked my Rewards MC account and it is still $10 (1,000 pts) cash back credits.

When I had Rewards (cancelled a few months ago), it was always $10 (1000 points). Maybe the T&C changed; I agree with the other poster to call Barclays and find out.
