Anyone have this card? I am not really looking at getting it because of the af but I just want to know how people use it and like it.

I assume you are talking about the fake Barlcay's Black card not the Centurion Black Amex Card.

Very few people have it on this forum... One person has it with no AF for life, not sure how he was targeted and a few others do, but not a popular card overall as the rewards stink compared to the AF.. Not even a Visa Signature card w/those benefits either.. Its all marketing and the wow factor of people pretending to be wealthly is their target market/audience I am guessing.. I guess a few peope could have a use for it if they traveled a ton, but still way better options out there.

lol, that's what I figured. Once they start singing rap songs about it, you can figure it is no good!

Even with no AF like the one poster has, I see nothing exciting about this card. Considering the fact that you have to assume you'd be paying the AF, I see no reason why anyone would want this card at all. 1% back is something you can get for free without having to jump through hoops and hope to have it waived.

if you're talking about the centurion then the platinum is a better value

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, so OP needs to please provide a web link to the "black card" they are talking about.

The AMEX Centurion is certainly a coveted card on these boards.

The Barclays Black Card, however, is not.

Perhaps, but if you could get a Centurion card, would you really be caring about the 1% points you were getting on the Platinum?

idc how rich you are, it takes common sense to realize you're getting very similar benefits and spending $2,050 less each year and not spending $5k just to be approved lol.

yes you're right. my mistake lol. for some reason i thought it was $7,500 TOTAL the first year. yes, i did make a mistake with my price there. good catch.

No harm meant...

If someone was 'applying', a $2.5k change in the initiation fee probably isn't going to deter them. If it did, they weren't really very interested in being offered a Centurion.
