...that would build my credit and my husbands??? with one deposit. =) I think you see where I am going with this... lol

I googled and nothing was obvious.

We have a joint secured card through the credit union where we bank. We also have a small (6k) secured loan as well through them, that is joint. Call your CU in your area to see if they offer this, I think most do. It has def helped with jump starting our ficos. I hope this helps, and good luck!!

What you shoud do is get a secured card in one your name and then get your husband added as an AU (authorized user). That will work also-

It will build both credit profiles if that is the ultimate goal-

I think that fico sees it more favorable if secured card is in both names, rather than just an authorized user...according to my CU.

FICO has no memory and doesn't calculate score base on whether someone is primary on an account or secondary. Do you have a link you can link-up for us to see where you got this info. from?

Maybe damnedanddetermined meant in the eyes of certain banks (as certain ones do not consider AU accounts, ie- Chase)?
