Discover bomb: CLD after 4x CLI in 2 months.

One of my friends who had a total of 4k CLI in the past 2 months or so suddenly saw a 3k CLD when he logged in today. My credit limit seems to be intact, thankfully and I've received 2 CLIs in the past 2 months. Anyone else see a CLD when logging in to your account?

Nope, nothing at all. No new accounts, or even inquiries, in the past year and a half. <10% utilization, no closed accounts.

Not yet. I've asked him to call one of the backdoor numbers tomorrow since today was a holiday.

Discover CLD me too earlier this month eventhough I have never received a CLI, let alone ride this wave of CLI every 17 days. The good news is.... I called the analyst and she restored it.

Have you friend call first thing in the morning.

in all seriousness, have your friend call and at the very least find out why. I'll say this though, the day a card company CLDs me for no legitimate reason is the day I stop using that card.

OP, you never replied to your "Amex Backdating success" thread. Was it really backdated or did you misread your report?

On the topic of CLD by Discover, there has to be more going on than what meets the eye. I am sorry to hear that about your friend and hopefully, a phone call can rectify the situation-

How many CLI's? Were these auto or did your friend initiate the request? Has your friend actually reviewed reports?

So OP got his Amex backdated and a CLD from Discover. I wonder if he's found the online app for the Centurion Amex.
