Chase IHG + Freedom

I want to apply for the Freedom now that the $200 bonus is back, but I also want to add another Chase card so I can get both with the same hard pull. As much as I want the United card with the awesome bonus it has right now, I think it's more important for me to get a card to keep long term and not just for the bonus, especially with Chase. So I'm thinking the IHG card is the best option, since the $49 annual fee more than pays for it self with the annual free night benefit. Would it matter in which order I applied in, Freedom or IHG first? I have a CSP with a $9.5k limit should I need to recon and split some of that line to get a new card approved.

I just got IHG. Awesome card. Many get 2 for 1 pull but it's not guaranteed. You don't have a lot of new accounts do you?

Personally, I would apply for the Freedom first because its bonus isn't what is normally offered, unlike the IHG currently. At least you'll obtain the Freedom's best offer if Chase only decides to give you one card. I'm fairly positive that both cards have the same underwriting requirements anyway. As for the hard pull, I have never had luck getting 2 cards with 1 pull from Chase.

Did you ever apply for both Chase cards within the same day?

Just checked my Equifax and Experian reports...I have 5 new accounts this year but 2 of them aren't reporting yet.

I would go for the Freedom first because of the awesome bonus! Then I would immediately app for IHG, which may go to verification but you should be ok depending on your profile. I just got approved for IHG same day as Baller with a SCL of $15k! Chase can be generous as they already have with your first card. Good luck!

Yep. It was just 70,000 a few days ago though. AF waived first year. Only $49 and you stay one night free annually at any hotel in the world.

If you go on the IHG site and try to book a room, you'll see an offer for the 60k bonus + $50 statement credit. The 60k bonus itself is worth around $300 for IHG hotels, plus you can use the annual fee night at any IHG hotel in the world.

Applied for Freeom first....pending. Recon can't even look at my app yet because they're updating their systems and it'll take 2-3 hours or something. Applied for IHG after I got pending on the Freedom, instantly approved for $4k.

You don't get the free night until after your first year. I've had it almsot two years. I finally used my free night last saturday. My reservation email from the hotel said free. IHG already took my Free night credit. The bad news is the hotel charged my card for the night, it popped up on my card yesterday. I'm going to call the hotel and talked to them.
