Seems to be an attempt to eliminate some rewards overlap with the Playstation card; they were remarkably similar.

To think i apped for this card last july. Denied. as they said i didnt have experience with high limit cards. My friend got a $300 limit on his. yikes. .

Hmm, I have said card, rarely use it just got it for sign up bonus and util padding have better cards that I actually use.

The Sony Card is likely going to be SDed after they phase out the 3X Dining Points. Too bad I can't move that CL to my QS.

Yikes. I wanted this card too. The 3X category doesn't seem too appealing cuz the only music I buy is the occasional iTunes song and I hate streaming services

That plus with these benefits it fits the Sony card more imo

I had this card for a few years but closed it a few months. If you do the math, the Sony points values are pretty horrific, even when redeeming for Sony stuff (unless it's discounted). Too lazy to do the math, but I think 3 points are worth less than 2 cents on most things, so you're probably better off going with a straight 2% cb card anyway.

The best redemption was for the Sony Store GCs, which seem to be absent from the Rewards sight. Those were 1 cpp. I may just get Arco GCs, but those are more like 0.77 cpp. but since I only use that card for the 3X categories of movies and dining, I'm still doing ok there.

I think it's a shame, but as others mentioned, not many of the redemptions seemed to give full value anyway, making the 3x not really 3x. It's the same as the Thank You Preferred which gives "2x" on dining but if you want a statement credit you get far less than the full value so it's not really a 2% dining card.

I agree that really, a Double Cash is a better bet. (Or if you have a Discover with the double reward promotion at the moment )
