Some lenders will pull a separate CR if the one they want is frozen, and some will instantly decline.

I'm not sure why, but my brain is telling me that unfortunately, Citi will instantly decline. I wouldn't risk the inq.

I was looking to expand my list of CC's by 2 from the same bank. Last month I found a problem on my otherwise very clean credit report. I froze one of the credit agencys files until I could get it ironed out. I worked it out but it won't be off the report for a while so i've kept it frozen since my score dropped 100 points almost overnight. What's the normal procedure by banks in this case? I'm dealing with Citibank. also if anyone cares. don't go for diners club without a score of at least 750 on whichever report they pull. Standards are now higher than AMEX!
