Signup bonus cards - what is best?

Thinking about my future app spree.

Looking for cards like the CSP in terms of a signup bonus. It gives me $400 cash or $500 in travel. Something similar because it will replace the CSP

Anything similar out there?

I don't have discover or citi.

And are they valued at 1 point = 1 cent?

I do not fly but I'm growing up so I might start. Turning 23 in August

Lol no.

And to be completely fair if you don't fly AA or plan on going somewhere/places, then the Prestige really isn't worth it. TYP are 1.6c ea against an AA flight, you get Admiral's club access (which means you only gain entry when you're flying AA), Global Entry credit and 250 annual airfare credit (not exclusive).

For example, with the 150k TYP that I'll soon have, I'll have $2,400 in TYP alone worth of AA flights. If I just did statement credits, I'd lose not only $900 in value, but also the other benefits that this card offers...

No it's not metal and really that shouldn't make a difference. You really need to look over the links given to you. The Prestige is a travel card and if you don't travel then it's not going to be a card you need. Don't apply for a card just because it has a 'bonus'. If the bonus is for something that you won't take advantage of then the card is not for you.

I might travel.
I know it's more of a travel card and I want to build some relationship with citi.

Double Cash is a great option if that's your goal. A solid card, 2% back, no AF.

Don't go into an AF card thinking or expecting the AF will be waived. It is charged for a reason.

If you cannot justify the AF on a card it may not be the card for you.

Yeah it sure is, pay your bill to get the second 1%. The $25 threshold is no larger than SM.....

Oh, and the Premier would be a better option for you then the Prestige, considering you don't sound like you'd get any benefit of the Prestige's benefits.

The DC is not a huge win over QS for most people, although of course over time the difference will add up but it is relatively nominal.

I prefer QS due to the redemption ease and instant posting of rewards. DC isn't really a pain in the ass other than requiring $25 to redeem. To me the pain is that the rewards don't post until statement cut. While it's not that big of a deal, it's just annoying.
