If you really want a higher limit and want to waste a HP I would app for a visa soggy card like the CSP or Marriott cards. There is others as well. The minimum limit would be $5,000 and you can move most of the limit to the Disney card and cancel it or wait a few months and move the rest over

Chase Disney Approval, low cl - Recon?

I decided to go for the Chase Disney Rewards since we usually do a Disney vaca every other year. I was approved for $500, but the online approval said once I received my card, I could discuss a higher limit once I activated. Has anyone else received a message like this and have you had any luck getting an increase?

500 would be my lowest limit of all my cards and really was not expecting it.

(Mod edit to title to better reflect topic - SE)

Chase will be a HP. In terms of an increase, if Chase started you out with $500 then they probably aren't going to go dramatically higher, as they are not known for generous CLIs as other providers like Amex are. A small increase isn't out of the question but I would not expect anything big. Perhaps not worth the HP.

Chase is HP happy and they'll give you barely any increase. I started out with Chase Amazon Visa at $500 too, cost me a HP 9 months later to be increased to $2500. I'm not even going to bother anymore. I wouldn't either if I was you.

You will take another HP like everyone says and it will almost definitely not be rewarded. You may get another $500 maybe. Sadly, that kind of approval usually means your application was "borderline" in Chase's eyes and they threw you a bone with approval but you aren't likely to get a huge increase anytime soon (if ever, since it's Chase).

It's disapppointing but all you can do is use the card responsibly and if you want a CLI maybe try in at least 3 months preferably 6. Then your HP could possibly be more worthwhile. As it stands now I would not ask for a CLI. Not worth it.

I got this card with a really low limit too. Actually apped for the premier and they gave me the regular one. I never asked for CLI but once I apped for another Chase card 5 months later and it was a Visa Sig.

My first chase card was a freedom with a 500 limit back in October, apped for this card last month after showing chase i can handle credit properly and 5k visa sig. Also this is with all the credit I possess being opened up in the last 2 years, which makes me scratch my head as Chase is giving out these denided messages with too many accounts in the past 2 years.

I hate Chase's wording when you are approved -- "call to discuss a higher limit". You can always call and discuss it. Every day if you want. But the wording suggests it is a simple process when it's not. You have to take a HP and are unlikely to have success right after approval so I have no idea why they include that line.
