I think there was confusion over my Amazon question yesterday, so I'm rewording

First, I'm sure it was my fault because I put the wrong months yesterday (which made the whole thing look normal, even to me).. but here is an image of what I mean..

Notice I applied for and was approved on June 5th
Amazon reported the new account on June 8th ...(that evening or next morning I charged something for $22)

Amazon reported a balance increase for the $22 on the 10th.

So this is what I'm asking, is Amazon going to report all through the month every time I make a purchase?? (If so, THAT part is what I'm asking if it's worth to you.. do you not mind having this card reported several times a month when the balance changes?

OR, does this not even happen to anyone else? I haven't even got the card yet much less a statement??

That's bizarre. I just got approved for the same card, and will be making a purchase today. I will let you know if they do it to me as well.

The only thing I can think of that would make sense, is if they just cut a statement for you on the close of the 10th, and the $22 reported. Which seems unnecessarily soon.

This makes the most sense to me too, and if so, it still seems like they would have waited until the next cycle. I hope that's it, I can't imagine them reporting every time there is a balance change? I mean, yeah, that would work great if you wanted to pay the balance off and update your scores

i have experian credit monitoring. each time i make a purchase using my amazon card, it shows up the very next day on my credit report. when i pay it off, my report refelcts that payment after about 3 days. ive noticed this on my account back in april. i cant remmeber where but i read somewhere online that they are now reporting in real time. it may not be for everyone or all accounts, but i have the amazon prime store card and its real time for me.

must be nice. My amazon plcc sync account takes weeks and weeks or months to update. It is so annoying!

That is weird. I've had my Amazon Card (Prime as soon as it became available) since last Fall and I've only seen them report my balances right after my statement cut, and only once a month. I've had MyFico 3 bureau monitoring for the past few months too and I haven't noticed any changes in Amazon reporting. But then again, perhaps my balance changes are just too small to trigger an update on MyFico. That's crazy if they're starting to report balances in real time now.

I know this is an old thread; however, Amazon is reporting every WEEK. My balance changed from 248 to 298 and the balance was reported on Sept. 11th (exactly 30 days from opening account), Sept. 17th (right after statement cut) and Sept. 25th (first due date is October 10th). I will not be using this card. I don't like that it reports the balance everytime I use it. Sigh.

Sorry, I should have come back to this thread a month or two later after billing had ran on it a couple of times. It only did that the first month from what I can tell now. It's only been monthly at closing since. Thanks for reviving this post so I could update.

Oh, thank goodness! Hopefully it won't do this again. Although for some strange reason my scores skyrocketed when my balances went up. TU went up about 30 points. Hmmmm
