So noticed Chase and Approval Section slow down.

So I have noticed a slow down in the approval section of the forum w/regards to seeing Chase approvals. Think it has to do with people being being more cautious of applying due to the new UW critieria or just a slow week or two w/regards to Chase applications? I know there are a few obviosuly, but not typical, maybe I am just looking for things like this and trying to find patterns?

I'm sure some people have stayed away due to the new policies. But I also think the forum is just slower in general. It's summertime right now. People take vacations, go outside, generally are on their computers less, etc. I think that's a part of it.

Don't get it. Outside, on vacation, you can still access MyFico on your smartphone, even if you have to pay international roaming charges. Or rent a satellite phone..... Surely people don't really have better things to do!

True summer might be playing a small factor in it, although most of us work for a living so not a huge factor.. I think the forum has slowed down a bit though overall in approvals, but usually every 3rd post was a Chase or Cap1 approval in the approval section. Me thinks people are seeing how this plays out with new policy and waiting for a few more GP's.

Of course people can post while away, but generally you're going to be on the forums less if you're on a vacation. Yes people work in the summer, but still take trips . It's just a theory. The forum as a whole seems slower.

To be honest the Chase thing is getting to the point of beaten to death and then some. I'm not disrespecting you OP. I just think it's been discussed in several threads and not sure what else there is to say. By nature approvals from chase will slow down now because they won't be approving as many people!

No disrespect taken.. I agree it has been beaten to death.. Just a different angle on it is all. Not trying to stir it up again, different take on it. Just trying to get a consensus if most people see the slowdown due to policy.

My take is yes is has slowed partially due to that reason.

I'm sure it's because of the policy. realistically people have no choice but to slow down as you can't get approved as readily now.

Nixon certainly kept a lot of threads going but the forums seem a bit more peaceful lately for whatever that's worth. not as many arguments and locked threads.
