      <title>Chase Cards</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm not quite "up to speed" on protocols/time frames for apping their cards/cobranded cards, especially since their reported changes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've had a Slate card for 4 months, approved for UMPExplorer 2 weeks ago &amp;amp; AARP last week.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I could use a good hotel card for a trip in August and would appreciate some guidance and suggestions&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've opened all but two of the cards in my siggy in the last two years and was denied for every card by chase, including business cards, and including United, until this IHG approval.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm telling you, if you're going to try, my personal opinion is to go for IHG...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I'd look into the IHG card and see if it's a good fit. I was recently approved for it, and I can say that I surely wasn't subjected to any reported policy changes. No way in hell would Chase have approved my application if the new accounts rule applied in my case with the IHG card.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I got all 3 of my non-cobranded Chase cards well before any underwriting changes occurred, so I can't provide any up-to-date feedback on those.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

IHG is my third Chase card in 2 months, so I can provide that datapoint at least. I would only make such attempts with pristine scores and reports (no bads) for best results/not having to recon.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As for using the Venture series for this purpose, I'll let others with the cards chime in. I'm not a fan of the Venture cards at all.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I was originaly told I was denined for more than 2 Chase aprovals in 30 days.. but the card just showed up yestereday.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I dont know if it was an overlook on Chase part, but I was able to get 3 cards within the 30 days.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

All we can really go by is anecdotal evidence here; none of us work for Chase.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That said, I'm sure the United Explorer being cobranded probably made the difference. Sometimes, cobrands and non-cobrands don't "count" the same way with regards to limits on approvals, etc.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
