This card is like Ebates to me... I MUST GET APPROVED and yet have been denied for the 3rd or 4th time just now!

I have an $8k Sams Store Card which makes it even more frustrating to not be able to get approved for the MasterCard.

Seems like i read members easily having both if they wanted.

How long is the history on the store version?

I dunno CA, and this is only a wild stab in the night, but i would venture a pretty good guess that after your sams store 1 year point they will finally relax on that effort and likely approve you then for that Mastercard version.

From lots of reads there seems to be a trend of hit n miss with Sam's Club MC, some get the store card while others just the opposite starting out with them. A real toss up.

But after a year odds go way up with Synchrony. At least that's been some peeps experience, including yours truly.

Applied & received the Sams Club card & then seen the M/C. Went into the store and asked if I could change. She made a call & I closed the old one & got the M/C with a 3.5k CL. They just increased it after 3 months to 5k. Go to the store & ask.

Haha, if sync only worked liked that usually... You sure they didn't do another hp and just apply you for the MC?!

its really odd, I apply for the store credit back on may got aproved with a 500.00 and today i receive the offer on the mail, that i was preapprove, i call in and got approved for the sams master card with a $3000.00 limit!!!!! was not expecting that at alll!!! supper exicted .

I was approved online for the mastercard 2 days ago for $3000.00 also recently approved for Ebates at $4000.00

I am waiting for a pre approved offer for the MC at the Sam's checkout. I will not cold app for 25% APR card and a Hard Pull, even for the 5% on Gas.

Someone said earlier they went to guest services and asked them to call about mc and got it? What was your TU FICO and u had the card for how long?

I am with ya on that one! But the fact is, for cash back at sams, the mc only gives an extra 1% on top of plus membership...you'd be better off using a discover card that would yield 2% right now.

ANYWAY...i appd in store last month and they denied me and gave me the plcc. bad idea to even go for it. just wanted the $100 bonus. Then yesterday online I see that they have a promo so I did a chat.

Long story short, the woman in store that got me to apply, should have told me that the promo was not EXCLUSIVE to the MC. Had I put the purchase on the new sams plcc I would have gotten it. So.... I have to go in store, and let the reps take care of it. They are going to give me a gift card for $50 or $100 if I am lucky!

Double Cash or Discover both make more sense in-store than Sam's MC. However, at the pump or for dining, Sam's is hard to beat. On a side note, I also don't use the Costco TE inside Costco. I usually use BCE since the rewards are the same, but it's easier to redeem.

Sorry about the denial. I got approved for Ebates 5K and $5K Sams Club MC. I thought Ebates is tougher than Sams Club MC.
