Need some advise

So I wanted to get 3 good trade line established then sit and garden for a year. Well my last baddie dropped off EQ. I had some things in Layaway at Sears but needed them now. (My son is growing to fast) So I apped for the Sears store card and was approved. I was denied for the Chase Freedom because of the CO I had should I give them another try or wait until the holiday season and try it? I also got an auto loan when I got my CC through my CU.

In my signature is what cards and limits I was approved for.

Chase doesn't forgive so easy. How long ago was the charge off with them?

Took me 14 or 15 years to get back in with them.

It wasn't with them it was an old auto loan. The auto loan CO is why I was denied.

Is the CO still showing on EX and TU? When you app'd for the Freedom last time which bureau did they pull for you?

Also, have you checked Capital One's pre-qual site to see if they show any pre-qualified cards for you? Check Chase's too while you're at it.

Is that TU score of 796 current? If so, you might want to app for a Barclays card such as the Rewards or Sallie Mae.

okay, I'm confused. You say your last baddie just fell off, but Chase denied you for a charge off that isn't with Chase, but its a charge off with an auto loan.

Burn - I apped for Chase 2 weeks ago. I was denied because of a CO I had(the auto loan) EQ and EX just removed it last week due to it being obsolete.

Just - read above for answer. I checked Chase I'm still prequal for both the Freedom and Slate.

Cap - My TU dropped a bit because of inquiries. EQ and EX low 700. I apped for Sallie Mae same day I did the Freedom(denied for reason above)

Perhaps instead of reapplying for the Freedom, call Chase and tell them there has been a change to your credit report since the app and ask them if they can pull a new report and reconsider your application.

I believe that as long as it's within 30 days from app you can. I would say that there was an error on your report (wink wink) at the time of app and it has been corrected now.

Ok so I called talked to a nice guy asked a few question answered them honestly. 20 minutes later he came back and they overturned their decision. Only for $500 but it's a foot in the door. So now I will garden for a year. Thank you guys for the advise.

They basically matched my CU my Sears was just opened today so it's not reporting yet.

congrats! Got my first chase card with a $500 limit my Amazon Visa card but my freedom was my 2nd and got $3,500 with an auto CLI about 3-4 months later for $1,000

Nice I hope to get a good cli. Need to pay down my C1 my 4th statement just cut had a little issue where I had to put several charges on it. Bills mainly.

congratulations on the freedom approval.
did chase make 2nd HP? usually they do not HP on recon, but since you recon on the ground of significant change on CR, I am not sure any more.
