to tight of requirements for most to find it userful.. Looks like Airline/Hotels and rental cars or similiar within a 15 day period of time? Think you could yield better results for said expenses using a hotel card or simiiar? Just seems very restrictive

^ I received the email as well BUT mine was spend $1,000 and receive 5,000 bonus points. I guess for those of us with lower limits we get the $1k offer? My CL is $15,500. Lol! Never the less it's a decent promotion.

Kind of a weird promotion. $2000 in 15 days is a lot, unless it's some travel you were already planning to spend money on. I doubt anyone is thinking, hmmm, let me go book $2k worth of airline tickets & hotel so I can get 10k points. So, the promotion like this doesn't really promote behavior. I guess if someone had needed a few hundred dollars to put them over the threshold it might work.

I got the offer today too, The DW and I can't use up $2000 in hotel and travel expenses in 2 weeks. 2 months yes.

I also got a call from the local main branch today asking if I want to come in and discuss other account options with Compass Bank. Will go in this week and see what they have to offer.

That's not a very good offer...spending $2000 in 2 weeks is a stretch for plenty of people, let alone just on travel.

It's definitely not a very good offer at all. BBVA Compass definitely thought this one through because trying to book hotels air travel and car rentals the week of 4 July is nearly impossible. Thanks BBVA.
