Got Another Approval for Virgin America from Comenity!!!

I thought it was a denial letter for CLI. I opened it. It was pre-approval offers for Virgin America Visa. I haven't decided to accept the offer or not.

I read somewhere that you can get double the sign up bonus (20k) if you apply inflight. I think you can do an app on the inflight entertainment system or maybe in the flight mag or paper app on plane to get double.

He started at $8500, CLI to $12,500 at 7 months and just yesterday $16,500 at 14 months.

I do know someone that just got initially approved for $24,000 (by far the most I had ever heard of)

Apply, $149 because of bonus and I think might earn more per $ charge too... we could probably downgrade now as we don't use it much but just paid AF so will decide next year.

The AF fees provide different benefits on the card. The $49 card (which I have) gets you free 1 checked bag, $150 off companion ticket, and 3 pts per VX flight and 1 pt for other purchcases. The $149 fee has a higher signup bonus plus free flight cancellations or changes. Southwest is good about free baggage without a CC but their CS sucks sometimes.

I had United Explorer Visa for a year. I cancelled it. United Card offers 2 airport lounge tickets a year. I like SW.

I cancelled my United card too as I have the Sapphire Preferred. Plus I don't care for United that much and only wanted it for trips to Asia or Europe. Southwest is ok but I like Virgin a lot better. It's stress-free flying with them. Plus their staff are always in a groovin' mood.

United is pretty good. It is much better than US Airways. I like Chase Sapphire Visa Signature. It is pretty good. I haven't tried Virgin America. I usually fly Delta, United and Cathay Pacific to Asia.

I have the $49 annual fee card. Dont see much benefit in the higher annual fee card unless you fly alot every year.

Virgin is a nice airline but their limited routes compared to Jet Blue has me thinking I will cancel this card shortly and earn points on Jet Blue instead fro domestic flights.

One good thing about VA is that you will never get less than $0.02 cpp but their first class prices are usually a joke. For example at times Ive looked at LA to NY and economy will be like $200 each way or 10,000 Elevate points and then first class will be like $1600 each way which is nonsense considering their first class leaves alot to be desired.

Ill give VA this....they do have the best looking flight attendants, especoially on the LA - Vegas routes.

I love Virgin America, but they don't fly to very many locations from Dallas.
