Anyone know the specific details, co-branded vs brand cards, length of time accounts activated, etc?

I.e. can you transfer 80% from an IHG to a Slate? If yes, then use the 0% promo rate for a BT?

You can move limits between any of their cards. Only stipulation is that balances cannot exceed limit being transferred.

Also chase won't BT balances of their own cards to their own cards but limit moving should be no issue.

I tried closing my Amazon Rewards card and combining the limit with my Freedom. They said I couldnt combine the limits. Both CLs were 500, but I had a balance of $300 or so on the Freedom. Apparently I needed to have $500 available to add the other $500.

If the donor card hasn't been used in 30 days, they will typically let you move everything over. Did that with my Freedom to CSP last month.

When I requested through SM to move it to Slate, CSR said it had to have a minimum $500(0 balance) before it could be transferred...OK

Paid it and requested it be transferred, nimrod CSR CLOSES Freedom AND simultaneously replies $500 canNOT be transferred! Effectively LOSING the account & $500CL!

I was NOT a happy camper

Fortunately, a senior CSR intervened, likely read the transcript, and added the $500 to Slate. This was my experience and it isn't clear if an exception was made based on poor CS info
