Yes but they may send you a pre-approved offer by mail now that they have your info in their system.

It seems like if you have no branch nearby all you get online is the Contour offer.

That's exactly what happened to me, but later I did get mailers from them

Remember US bank is fairly picky and is not BK friendly. Found that out the hard way when they declined me for A Fred Meyers card

I think kdm is on something, I have no US Bank within 1000 mile, all I got preapproval is a debit card,but I got cash+ 12k and club Carlson 15k, no sweat

I get offered the Platinum and the Contour. And I already have 2 of their Cash+ cards, which is their best card...

Was there a reason for this? I just did it for the $125 (fees are waived w/ US Bank CC) and was instantly approved.

Was considering funding a savings account w/ my Freedom (Chase codes as purchases) to get that extra $100, lol.

I'm getting pre-approvals from US Bank now for the Cash+. Really ticks me off because I got screwed by them last summer when I app'd. Ended up getting stuck with the crappy Cash Rewards which I promptly cancelled.

I still wouldn't mind the Cash+ for the 5% on clothing stores and electronics stores. Ugh, sooo tempting.

But I couldn't right now even if I wanted since I'm carrying balances with a high util so my scores are not very good atm. But maybe I'll give US Bank one more try this fall....

Question for all the Cash+ owners. Do the 5% categories stay the same generally? I know they took certain categories away, but the ones that are on there now, will most be available next quarter?

They stay the same most of time, remove a good one once a while and put back a so so category instead

Ok, thank you. Was thinking about it, for the 5% for Gyms/Fitness Centers to pay the monthly fees, and for fast food since I eat fast food more than I'd like to admit :/

They didn't "screw" you. They clearly indicate that if your credit does not qualify for the cash+ then you will be considered for the cash rewards. Your credit is what did it. Always carefully read and understand before applying.

They gave me the Cash Reward card as well. After 6 months I asked for my cards to be changed to Cash+, and it was done in about 1 minute on the phone. Of course, I had $5000+ limits on the cards already.

@Bank with them? That is when I got the pre-approval it was a hp, but a guranteed approval for being a long time customer how the CA stated it... Granted not for the cash+, sigh... My TU is now at 736...tempted to try my dice again but no wanting two cash rewards cards lol. I just got a nice raise at work.. the approx 8% raise is going into CU vs US Bank for giving me a crappy limit on the cash rewards card.. Yes I am spiteful, I knew which card I was getting, but expected better than 1k!!! Was @ 700 TU at time of Cash rewards approval, 6 figure income and DTI approx 10% (including housing/car)

Didnt think any bank could be cheaper than the old Cap1, before the new image.. I think I found one though!
