      <description>&lt;P&gt;Some cards are chip and PIN. You have to enter a PIN that has to match the PIN embedded in the chip. Anyone can forge your signature. It is more difficult to guess the PIN.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I know how they are supposed to work, but all the ones I have always default to swipe. I think the only place I have had to insert the card was Walmart. I was never really worried about my info getting stolen there though lol. Even then, even though my card has a PIN, it didnt ask for it. Everywhere else I have used it still uses the old swipe method. Am I just in an area that is behind the times or something?</description>

A lot of places like train ticket kiosks only take chip cards so for now they are only useful to us if we travel abroad.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Home Depot also turned on their chip readers not too long ago.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm a bit offput almost all U.S. banks chose C+S over C+P priority but they make so much in interest &amp;amp; fees that fraud costs don't even register on their radar. In Europe &amp;amp; elsewhere banks don't make nearly as much on cards so for them fraud prevention is an extremely high priority; any fraud related losses are definitely felt.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
