Hi Everyone....Just signed up her. Have a few questions...first, how do i set up my profile where i show my credit cards with limits...please advise. Second, does anyone know if cap one gives auto cli's on their buypower card? Thanks....looking forward to learning from u guys.

Still need info on whether buypower offers auto cli's. I hate this card....customer service is from a country not yet explored...just downright scary

I haven't heard much of CLIs from them. It is serviced by Capital One but not the same dept that handles their "main" cards.

Just so frustrating...customer service has no clue as to any aspect of their internal workings or policy....i pay my balance off (on all my cards) before the statement cuts (by the way..to optimize my fico...is this the smart thing to do??) WEMC used to mean something..i guess i should be glad i didnt get a 300 line like many others.

WEMC is overblown, IMO. I know people want it just because it's fancy or special, but what do people actually use from it? I got my Quicksilver upgraded to Visa Sig and can honestly tell you I have never even used the benefits so it was a waste of time and effort getting it upgraded.

To me, it's not a big deal to let the statement cut with the balance and may be preferable to show usage (as reporting no balances on all cards does hurt FICO). I don't think anything with cards is worth driving yourself crazy over. I don't think it's worth paying every charge as you go along or whatever. It will hurt more than help to have things reporting with zero balance. Let it report. You then have a month to pay it without interest anyway.

OK..so if I have 10 (amex doesn't count) accounts...should I have a small balance showing on all accounts..or just a few?Right now I have 3 accounts showing a smallamount...fico is 771(TU) 740 (EQ) 756 (EX) Thanks so much.

I wouldn't stress over how many you let report. For truly "optimal" scoring people recommend a small balance on a few cards (1-9%) util and the rest can be zero. However unless you have upcoming apps planned, there is no need to micromanage and optimize, as util has no memory anyway. Your scores are in the very good range anyway so there is really no need to be too vigilant about what reports.

I'd just let report what reports and not worry too much. If you have a truly huge balance about to report maybe pay it down. Otherwise, you're fine.

Just received an email from buypower that I should use the card with respect to one of their "top travel deals." With a creit line of 3k...where should i go...Brooklyn?? Just unbelievable.Maybe if they gave me a credit line I could operate with I could use it more....

Thats what I was going to put on mine...I have the Hyatt spend bonus to meet too. I am going to let balances report and go from there. I can't find too much in the way of CLIs on these forums for the card.

I am not complaing at a $7500 limit but would like some luv someday.
