AU On Card Barclays AA Red Card, 18k Credit Decrease

I had some new accounts recently and my mom added me as an AU on her AA Miles card, well they recently became a Barclay's card today I get a notice that the account is reporting but also that 88% of available credit was in use, there was a 2800 or so balance but there was a 21k credit limit. Barclay's cited too many recent cash advances but my mom says she hasn't used one. Is it too late to just have her remove me as an AU, will it stick with me for 10 years? Should she try and recon the CLD.

It's worth a shot on reconning. They might wanna HP to see if they can do a CLI instead. As for the decrease since they own the account they could say anything they want for it. It's odd that it would be due to cash advances since she hasn't had any.

As for removal its never too late. Once removed it will take a month or two for it to be removed from your report generally and if not then you just contact the bureau's and request it.

If your mom really didn't take any cash advances, and none of her AUs did either, I would definitely call up Barclay and find out what's going on. It could just be a mistake.

They wouldn't say much over the phone but said that they sent a letter. hmmmm I guess once she gets the letter I will have more details. I am thinking that if they don't get it straightened out I should just have her remove me. I was trying to help my AAoA and get a little padding not a maxed out util. LOL
