For me they started reporting after two months. So it seems that two months or so is about average currently.

Does AMEX usually start reporting to the CRAs after the first statement closes like Chase does? I just want to know how quickly I should pay off this Delta ticket I just bought with the new Gold Skymiles card. Since they only started me with a $1000 limit I don't want my reported utilization to be super high. My account homepage says "closing Augs 3" so I'm assuming that is the first statement cut date. Thanks for any insight you can provide!

Once you get it to finally report it will report typically a few days after the closing date.. Although AMEX for the last few months has been running behind for many like myself.. Use to be like clockwork about 3 days after closing date I would see updated on CR, now it is a month or two behind. So your results may vary..Still waiting for my 2 month old Amex HHoronors to reports, yet to report.. Previous two Amex's reported in less than a month time.

Mine started about 1week maybe 10 days from when I received the card. It reported as open no balance. However most cards report after a few weeks, months. The other thing to know is utility only affects you that billing cycle.
Also like to add that I recently pulled a copy of a credit report and it showed my balances, payments and a bunch of details that are not normally shown on most none CRAs reports. These details were things like I purchased a 3k vacation paid it before the billing statement ( meaning the statement cyt with a zero balance) and the 3k was listed that month with a payment of 3k. Another example: bunch of purchases added to 5k paid with 3 payments of 1.5 k leaving a balance of $500, showed all the details of that months money. Now from what I was told by a friend that works for a bank as a analysist that if they manual review your file they can see all those details.

I opened all 3 Amex accounts in mid May. Not a single account has shown up on any CR yet and it's just over 2 month's. I'm thinking I will see them starting early August at this point. All my other accounts have shown up except the Venture and CSP I opened this month.
