New Discover credit score feature

Logged into my Discover it account and noticed a message saying that they now provide a snapshot chart of your credit score over time. Just when I was starting to think that I wasn't making much progress, I see that my score is up nearly 100 points since last Augs! :-) Just passing along the info for you Discover card holders.

Barclay's has that as well, do you have a secured version? see in the high 500's start.

No it was a regular Discover More card and I PCed it to the It card last month. I've had this Discover card since 2001 and they have stuck with me through some very tough times. Never a CLD or any other AA when I was out of a job and had maxed out the card. I will ALWAYS stick with Discover because of that!

I got my Discover in 2011 when my scores were <600. The regular unsecured card with a CL of $1500. I PC'd to the It card (I'm still not sure what the It part does for me) about 3 years ago. Now, my scores are 700+ and my CL is at $7000. Even though many seem to disagree with me on this board, I view Discover as one of the most lenient in terms of credit. When no one would give me credit, Discover did. So I'm with you on this (the bolded part).

Anyway, I love the new chart. Pretty cool.

This is really good to read/hear about. It is possible for a healthy relationship to form between the bank and their customer if they show each other loyalty.

Disovers love some people and dislikes some people.. Some people right out of BK they will approve and others 5 years out they wont... Approve people with 600 credit scores and decline people with 750+ credit scores.. They are all over the board in what the really "LOOK" for in giving someone a card.. Probably the hardest lender for me to pin any kinda of pattern on personally.

Part of that jump was due to my backdated Amex reporting in between. That took it from 696 to 719, so the actual increase from the tax lien going bye bye was 72 points.

Citi also recently is displaying FICO history in addition to just the score itself.

Yes! I also logged into my Discover account and noticed the new look for the Credit Score section.

Now I can keep track. Mine has dipped slightly due to the AAoA drop from new accounts but I hope in time, it will rebound.

Not just the graph, they've changed the explanation. Instead of 2 factors hurting me, they are showing 1 of helping and hurting each.

Also, they have a table view, where for each data point on the graph, they have the respective factors listed.

New - Discover Fico Score History with Graph

Apparently there was a big orange "NEW" on the main Discover account page which takes you to the free Fico score portal.

Now, there’s a new chart with your credit score history, mine is showing the last 12 months but coincidentally I opened the account 12 months ago so I'm not sure if it will record more than that or just only show the last 12 no matter the age of the account.

Here is some other info that is listed on the score page:

"Important Information:

Your FICO® Credit Score is based on your TransUnion credit report using the FICO® Score 8.
If you are a new cardmember with less than 12 months of account history with Discover, your FICO® Credit Score history will start with the first month your account was opened."

There is also a table view mode where you can see the factors effecting your score in the past which is pretty neat.

Too bad I can't post any pictures yet
