Kohls CLI Online Available

Just logged into my Kohls account and noticed a "Request Credit Line Increase" link next to the limit. This is new right? Looks to be a soft pull as they don't say anything about requesting a credit report or any impact to your score. Got bumped from $1500 to $2500. Tried it a second time but no luck.

I was just on the site the other day and I didn't see that. I just logged in when I read your post and it is there now. I got started with a lowsy $300 limit and I requested an increase through their private mail link and was denied about 2 months ago, I got the card back in February. I clicked the love button today and got an increase from $300 to $700. I don't use the card very often but I might have to go charge something to thank them for my increase. It isn't much of an increase but they more than doubled my limit so thats good. Also I did see a thing that said they use a credit report but I am sure it was a soft pull, my last request was a soft pull.

I clicked the CLI button. I go the same message" Unable tp process ...". Maybe I already maxd out the max CL at $3K.

Congratulations, your request has been approved! Your new Credit Limit will be $2000.

Last increase was December 2014 when I called in. Went from $600 to $1000

I went from $2k to $3k. Not complaining for a card I use every 4 months or so.

Thanks! Got my very first CLI on this card since I got it in 2002! Went from $1,500 to $2,500.

Generally speaking, $1,500 at Kohls is way more than I ever need. But then last November my wife pointed out a necklace that she liked. Only $399 (down from a list price of $1,300, don't you know, LOL). Anyhow, I went back to the store later and bought it, figuring I'd surprise her at Xmas. Used a 30% off, plus got Kohls cash, Yes-To-You, etc., etc. Out the door for about $300 with funny money to use later. Then a couple days later, I see it on kohls.com for a couple bucks cheaper, plus I have still a 30% off and can go through a portal and get another 10% cashback later, and I have a $10 off jewelry coupon. So I order it again. But forget to use the $10 coupon. So I order it a third time, this time using the $10 coupon. Tried to cancel the prior online order, but it was already in fulfillment. Oh well, I figure I'll return the extras later. Then wife makes some other big order on the Kohl's card through kohls.com, and we make a few other B&M purchases and then clean up on black friday, all to the tune of another $500 or so. So black friday evening, wife goes to make a purchase at kohls.com using the card, and BAM! Declined! "How could that be, she queries, we should only have about $600 charged on that card," not knowing that I had bought her a $300 necklace three times, bringing us up to our limit! I had to do some quick tapdancing to explain why we might have been at our limit. Turned out OK, however, because I ended up finding a 30% off coupon that didn't require using a Kohls card, used my Discover for 5% + 10% portal cashback + some $10 off kohls.com for using Discover. So buying it that way, we actually ended up much better! But I had to wait until Xmas to tell her the real reason the Kohls card was declined.

This Xmas, that'll have a less chance of happening!

As an aside, it's chafed my butt for years that of all of the cards I have, Kohls was the only one which didn't have a "Automatically Pay Statement Balance In Full" option. I have every other card set to that, so I never have to worry about missing a payment. But with Kohl's, especially as it's an occasional-use only card, I've ended up with about one missed payment, with accompanying late fee, yearly. Now, Kohl's is always great about reversing the late fee and I never have to pay any interest, but it's still been a pain. Anyhow, I'm changing checking accounts anyway, so as long as I was logged in, I went in to change my bank account info stored on the Kohl's CC site, and guess what? They finally have the "Automatically Pay Statement Balance In Full" option! I don't know when that added that; I'm sure it wasn't there a year ago when I last checked. This may be old news to some of you, but for me it was a pleasant surprise.

Thanks so much for posting this. Just jumped from 300 to 700. and my daughter increased hers from 700 to 1500. I had tried the secure message thing a couple times and it never worked. Thanks again Falim

Thanks for letting us know! I just got an increase from them a few months ago (had to send a message) so I won't be able to try this feature out for a few more months. But I'm happy they finally added a love button!
