who knows? will they allow re-allocation/combine and closes? will chase still keep the free pfico feature? is chase even going to take over the card division?

It looks like chase is going to buy "most" of WaMu's operations.

looks like they are getting everything but the mortgage paper, ironicly that's what killed them.

Doubt Chase gives free PFICO if they pick up the credit cards. I wouldn't mind seeing the score free having a Chase card now but I wouldn't be holding my breath.

who knows. maybe the service is under a contract that can be expanded easier than killed.

Hmm. I'm in good graces with Chase (car loan) and WaMu I screwed up, numerous lates, closed by them, and finally by settling for less than full. Intrigue. Wonder if I will ever be able to get another Chase product.

Ok. I am totally freaking out. Wamu is my highest cl at $2500. The only other card i have is a BofA platinum plus mastercard 500cl (unsecured). My scores are mid to upper 600's. Im not sure if this makes me subprime. or near prime. I hate to lose my highest cl. Dont know if i should keep using the card or will it suddenly stop without warning.

specultr - can you maybe explain how you interpret "let the subprime stuff run off but keep the near-prime and prime"?
