Orchard bank CLI

I have an Orchard bank CC with a limit of $300.

I have used 50% or less each cycle, and always pay in full.

have had the card approx. 6 months. We decided to link it to our checking account as OD protection.

How long does Orchard Bank usually like someone to have their card before a CLI is granted?

Anyone have CLI experience with them?

Have had 2 orchards (now 1- consolidated them a few mos. ago) since early 07. both had 300 CLs, both got 0 CLIs. Now it’s 1 orchard w/a 600 CL. Have pif, left a balance, used A LOT (ran 3-5x the cli/mo. through it), have sockdrawered, etc. have called every # for orchard under the sun, threatened to cancel, etc. nada, zip, zilch, zero CLIs.

Last time I called, they ranted about my past credit mistakes (last baddie= 2003) and went on about how it’s a rebuilder cc.

It remains open until early 09 (2 yr mark) simply b/c I already paid the atrocious AF through then and may as well take the next few mos. of age.

You can ask for a CLI right now but we are are talking about HSBC here so u wont get much if anything lol. I was told u can ask for a CLI every 6 months

Unless you have tons of unpaid collections, you should try the BofA 99/500 or Hooters or Cap One.

Your scores should qualify you for one of these cards.

I also have a OB card, I received the card 11/2007 with a $300 limit. PIF account twice. In August had a balance of about $200 and they auotmatically raised me to $500. So in my case it has only been 9 months. It may vary based on payment history.

My payment history w/orchard is flawless. I’ve hard they don’t like if you PIF, so maybe that’s what dinged me. Who knows. I have BA 99/500 and love them. Also, got a cap 1 300 CL as of 4/08…6/08 called and got 300 CLI….8/08, bam, 500 CLI. 300 cap 1 can go to 1.1k in 4 mos. yet orchard 300 cc from 1/07 remains @ 300? LOL yah that makes sense.

I received CLI from $300 to $500 after receiving card around 6/22/08, in August I called backdoor # and said I wanted to make them my main card but limit was so small and bragged about how much I liked their card(yeah right) and sure enough the CSR gave me a CLI without any hard inquiry or CLI fees. Maybe you just have to get the right CSR on the line.

Here is my OB pay history

1st statement- July 5th- balance was $215/ paid $50

2nd Statement -August 5th- used card for purchases paid $235 on 7/28/08 before statement cut (balance on 2nd statement shows as $65)

8/16/08 Called for CLI and went from $300 to $500

i have two orchard cards. the one i have had the longest is going on two years in november. i have gotten 2 auto-CLIs on that card, $200 each. so now my CL is $700. the other is too new, only 3 months old.

I did not get a CLI on my anniversary date so I called and told them that at this point that they were getting more out of the relationship than me and I was considering closing--AF-49.00. So they gave me a 500.00 dollar increase which shot me to the moon 1K

A week earlier I got a 5k card from another bank, so I knew that my scores were OK and well deserving of a nice CLI.

1 year anniversary? i believe i will keep my orchard cards for about 3 years each. i will be dumping my first premier & plains commerce in march & july of next year.

I hit 6 months in Nov, I guess I will wait until then to see what happens. I paln to pay off 3 other "small" cards by then, hopefully my scores go up too.

I have a Cap One card, CL 500. I have had the card since Sept 2004.

Late once, due to fraud; card got stolen and in the midst of all the disputing I missed a pmt.

they creditted the late fee back to me and all was well. But I have applied for a CLI once a year since I got the card with no success. still at initial CL of 500.

Also, on the topic of Cap One~ they are reporting to EQ thatI have 2 CC accounts open with them. They are still saying the old stolen acct number is active. I have disputed thu EQ more than once, called Cap One a dozen times. I have letters from Cap One saying they have no clue what this second account is. This has been going on since Dec 2006. Anyone know if this is hurting me? And/or How I can finally get it fixed? I have another dispute thru UQ currently pending.

I also have a BofA card. CL 7200 util 6800 (eek!! I know)

what is the 99/500???

i am not sure about the EQ thing hurting you, but i would imagine that if it is a positive tradeline, then it is probably helping a little bit. but you should definitely let someone smarter than me have the final say!

my anniversary with orchard (my first card) is also in november!

This is another name for what we call their "partially secured" card. When your scores and reports are too good for the standard secured card, but not quite there yet for their basic plat Visa, the 99/500 can be their counter-offer if you go for the plat Visa. You make a deposit of $99 in exchange for a $500 CL CC. When the card unsecures, you get your $99 back. (Don't remember if they pay interest, etc.)

But you can't app directly for it, and you won't find it on their site. Strictly a counter-offer, as I said.

Does anyone have a backdoor number for Orchard Bank that you have recently used?

I tried sorting through the backdoor number thread and it seems all the Banks and CC companies get tired of us calling and change the numbers. lol

I had Orchard and started out with 700 with 3 clis brought me to 1300. They were auto clis. They would not waive a/f so I closed. They never gave me anything when I asked only when THEY felt like it.

They did serve a purpose.

The squeaky wheel get the oil. Ask for what you want. I also asked for them to waive my AF and they refunded me half. So oatmeal beats nomeal.

My last CLI with Orchard was only $100. It was not auto, I called them. They did a hard pull and charged me $10. Sheesh.
