3rd Venture Card?

Good Afternoon All,

I currently have two Venture cards, and I know many others on these boards have two as well. My quesiton is does anyone have 3? I have read all the fine print disclosures on the application, and nowhere does it say anything about not being able to have a 3rd card. They allow 5 cards in total, I believe, so I would assume you could go for it, right?

Has anyone tried and if so, successful?

I believe I have read someone does have 3.. Why I have no clue other then big CL's and possibly the hope to consolidate the CL's in the future and obviously the 400 or 200 signup bonus depending on how you use it.

You can have 3, I know people have mentioned having 3. It's up to you but honestly, I think getting 3 Ventures, collecting the bonuses and then consolidating is going to put you on Cap One's radar and not in a good way. They aren't stupid. They could figure out why you are doing it. I could see maybe 2 but 3 of the same card is IMO pushing it.

Thanks for the replies. I honeslty wasn't looking to go for a 3rd right, as I was gonna let me first two accounts age some. I don't wish to consolidate, but wouldn't mind another high limit. Appreciate the advice!

But if it's about limits, why have 3 redundant cards? You can find other cards with other creditors and get high limits if your credit fits it.

Agreed kdm. I think it owuld be the same as asking Capital one for an audit of yourself, If OP does this, he should be ready to send in lots of documents as they may flag his accounts.

it's a 2% card with an AF. I don't see the point in having multiple of it. As what was mentioned, if you just want another higher limit card, there are other options.

Good idea. Everyone who i saw had 3. Either applied for 2 and upgraded or pced the other for the 3rd. I even saw one person with a venture Mastercard. was in shock. so for sure it was a pc.

I have 2 Ventures and my wife just applied for one - got the 7-10 day message. I plan on merging my 2 ventures once the annual fee comes around in a couple of years and then PC her's to a Quicksilver Signature (assuming she gets approved). Easy 120k points.

I have 3 Ventures as of 2 days ago.

Hey CreditFlunky, just curious how the starting limits worked out for you doing that. How much time in between them? If you dont mind sharing that is.
