Amex Platinum PC to Green

I'm not getting the value I thought I would for the Platinum. I'm not traveling near as much as I had planned.

i want to PC to something with a smaller AF in the spring.

Amex is my oldest account and I don't want to lose my 17 years of history.

With the new back dating rules, does anyone think I will have to start fresh on a PC'd account?

If you can PC it (and that should be possible) it will keep the age.

A product change will keep the same account number and history. If you could use the $100 Airline Credit Fee, the PRG is a great card.

Keep this in mind. It's about closing credit cards but the AAoA impact is still relevant.
