What's another inquiry when you're at 40, 50. Right? How often do they even do APR decreases? I have a Cash Rewards from a few years back that was originally approved at the basement rate (9.xx) and never really felt like pressing on them to lower it.

1st..more like 80, but who cares and whose counting right? Certainly not me.

2nd..your card is eligble once a year for apr reduction, but you got low rate to begin with, not sure how much lower they will or can go, but its worth a phone call

oh...and my CLI last month WAS with a HP...so I squeaked that out..lol

they told me last month you're always eligible on the birthday of your card and they'll go down to the minimum apr

I had never had one, I never asked because I didnt think Id be eligible for a few years until my scores were better.. Have had my card almost 2 yrs.

when i did my PC in june they said i automatically qualify for a rate reduction from 17.99% with the goRewards to 15.65% with the cashRewards and told me to call every june

I have to add, that yesterday on 8/11 when I logged in to check my account like I do daily, I noticed that Navy had already changed my picture to the green cash rewards, and it says "Visa Signature Cash Rewards" next to it!

Man they are quick!! Love it!!

Good info. I hit my one year anniversary with NFCU at the end of September. It's been an awesome banking experience so far betweeh the Cash Rewards Visa, checking/savings, CDs paying 3% and 5% and great live customer service.

I will be calling in September for that APR reduction, I'm at 14.9% but my credit is better now than last year and I've used the card responsibly.
