I keep getting a preaproval in both mail and email for First Premier card

I keep getting mail and email from from First Premier bank. I read the terms and wow what a fee there is. I don't mind the mail and I will opt out soon what I need is to know what you guys think if I should apply my.. fico scores ranged from 652-684 my cards

Why would you want FP with your current line up? Heck you could wait 3-6 months, and cold for Venture and probably get $5k-$10K easy...

Personally...I wouldnt do it.

I was just explaining this exact very thing to a friend of mine yesterday. It's a sign that your credit profile is improved and in the stages of advancing forward. I also reminded her (it happened to me the same way) to also be on the lookout in the mail for enticing offers from OneMain Finance and others who would love nothing more than for their names to show up your credit report so that when current lenders or prospective new ones see them there it will raise the red flag.

Those offers are coming to test your resolve. You have begun to establish good credit and they want to trash it, pure and simple.

Don't bite PERIOD! Just know that it's a good sign for your personal credit

From my stepdad's experience, once you're in First Premier's radar, you'll never escape the pre-approvals. And, in his case, every time he checks online pre-quals, it seems he gets yet another pre-approval in the mail. Since he had an account before, I honestly believe that they might have something in their system that sets off when a previous 'customer' (victim, more like...) is looking for credit, so that they can get on them again...

Hah ha. He has a very good point. After i landed and established solid credit with a variety of Prime Lenders ole FirstPremier stop sending preapprovals in THAT name and instead every once in a blue moon float one to my mailbox with an entirely new name but same tactics, same offer, and same STATE! that sticks out like a sore thumb right there on the front of the envelope

Thanks for your feedback and nice comments guys I really appreciate it. What bothers me is credit one also keeps sending me pre approved mail as well "your preapproved for a credit line up of $1500". I only recive pre approvals from only first premier and credit one why doesn't any other bank like citi and other major banks do that (than I won't mind at all). Ughh that's why I was thinking if I still only qualify for these two cards with these insane fees credit one and first premier

Do not simply respond to offers. Select cards that suit your needs/wants. Don't let a creditor's marketing department decide for you.

Don't assume. I have 35,000 avail credit (highest being 10k Venture), car loan and deferred student loans (avg Fico of 700). Speaking to OP, I received a "pre-approved" 1st Premiere in the mail today, and dang it took me a whole 15 minutes to find my scissors.

My other favorite is the loan with Rocky running up the stairs if you sign up for a loan in the seventies you might have paid it off by now
