Bank of America MLB WMC with LOW APR

I was at my dads the other day and he has

this on the counter. I took a looksie and was like man, thats a low apr!

he opened this card in 2004 and its his main card. I was impressed with 7.9% apr!

Nice, that's a good one!

Just continually ask your creditors for a lower APR. That's what I do! The BCE that I got in 2013 is at 7.24%.

I have a college alumni AMEX from BofA from 2006 which is 7.9% APR. It also gets monthly BT offers at 0% with a 4% fee for 18 months, which is even better

It just dropped the alumni connection, now just a plain BofA AMEX with the same terms, including 1% FTF which is not bad for a no fee card.

My guess is that it is 1 point per dollar spent.

Ha! He isnt big into rewards cards. Before that card he had an mbma mastercard with i think 0 perks from as early as i could remember needing their cc to go to the mall lol.

The current MLB card is pretty much under the Cash Rewards program while the former MLB card is still under the MLB Extra Bases rewards program (which is still available for MLB EBR cardholders and I think you can still apply under that program). Not sure on the current redemption values but I believe some folks who still have the fromer version (i.e. your dad) can redeem points for a variety of categories such as tickets, cash, MLB gear, MLB experiences, memorabilia, etc.

Yes, it would appear your dad would get a much better redemption value going the cash rewards route than redeeming for MLB merchadise. Seems like your dad has been collecting points for sometime
