Citibank Credit Card Photocard Request Form...

interesting...

i asked because i saw an online application to have a photo put on your Citi card and i know Bank America issues cards with your photo too (debit cards). I filled it out and stamp it and as i was mailing it out i realize the address they wanted to send it to wasn't in USA so i emailed them from my account asking about this.

Wait... so you "saw" an application (random PDF form hosted at citibank.co.in); it asked for full name, full card number, signature, and photograph; you filled it out, stamped it, and were ready to mail it?

...really?

That was... unwise.

I could go register citibank.xyz and post the same form with a US mailing address - who knew identity theft was so easy?

Seriously, people - don't send your personal details to whatever pops up as the first link in Google search...

Yeah seriously not wise. Theres a reason you dont hear of people having this. Because they dont offer it in the us.

It appears to be Citibank, just in India and not the U.S.

My original AA Platinum card was a photocard. I had to fill out a form and attached a colored passport sized photo of me then mailed it to a US address in either ND or SD.. If i remember correctly I got the new card like 2weeks later but im not sure they still offer this option.

Correct. Citibank issues photo cards in India as a security measure. I used to have one of them earlier

Not to sound bad. But like anyone can tell anyone apart on the picture unless you lived in india. then you would get use to the faces. You think a cashier is gonna look at your picture and say ooh. That is not you. Way way old and obsolete form of security.

I agree its not the most secured way (and very few CC companies had the photo card option) but this was before chip n pin became a norm in India.

Yeah nothing weird about Photocard. My Citi Forward had that feature, I requested to have them mail me the form but I was too lazy to ever get around finding a picture and mailing it back.

Have an EMV Forward card now. Looking under my card's "Benefits" on their webpage, Photocard is no longer there... it used to be an option.
