Amex offer whole foods

Finally an amex offer popped up that I can use. Its for whole foods. The offer is as follows: Get a 1X bonus of 1,000 Membership Rewards® points by using your enrolled Card to spend a total of $50 or more in-store at Whole Foods Market by 10/31/2015.

Now my question is this. Does the $50 have to be spent all at once or can multiple transactions with whole food on same card be added together to get bonus? I use whole foods, but I don't do most my shopping there. Just random items. To me it reads as if I just need to spend a total of $50 not all in one transaction. Thoughts?

i'm guessing it's one time transaction of 50.

Yes they are not talking about mulitple transactions. in every case with these specials it is the single purchase. could be multiple items. but a single purchase for sure. which in this case would be the same as 20% back. since the 1k mr points are the same as $10.

Good offer. Sounds like you might of found $50 of spend on the Plat for an extra 1k MR's.

Found the offer as well as I need to get some stuff from there anyways.

Got it the first day the offer was online before yanked from the online application.. couldn't turn down 100k MR's.. Ya Amex likes me for some reason. Chase is on my bad list atm as they are getting SD'ed for the next month while I meet the spend on the Plat. Already put around 900$ dollars and only had the card since thursday I believe last week

Just in follow-up I called amex because their terms and conditions is not saying that the $50 is required all in one transaction. They confirmed that I don't need to spend $50 at once, I just need to spend $50 total by the deadline.

I have the offer on my Platinum, Green and ED card. Will have my DW check her AU account to see if it shows there too. We haven't been to whole foods in a while but it looks like we'll be taking a trip to get some points.

To me its only worth it if youre going to be going there anyway. Otherwise you are just spending to get a discount.

Its a grocery store. I could understand if it was a car dealership and didn't need a car, but most people have stuff they would need to buy and can get those items at whole foods. I wouldn't drive over an hour to get to one, but if its in your town why not? For me, I actually buy stuff there (especially for fresh fruit/vegetables) although I use different stores for different items.

Nothing against Whole Foods, but Whole Foods is grossly overpriced. If you don't already shop at Whole Foods, you'd probably wind up spending more than your typical grocery store visit, even discounted 20%.

Yes Whole Foods can be expensive. I do enjoy their food court and there are certain "specialty" items we buy from there but we don't do bulk shopping from there.

Some of their meat is pretty worth it but Ive never been impressed with much else there. Got the offer on PRG

It depends on what you are buying. You need to know what the price points are etc. In some cases I have found whole foods cheaper than other stores for specific items. However, in general they tend to charge more.

Dear you can practically spend $50 at Whole Foods or Whole Check just at the hot bar. I can't imagine it should be hard unless you don't want to or can't spend $50.

Its not that expensive. I buy from the hot bar on a regular basis and I'm spending nowhere near $50 or even half that. Heh. Now if you buy the seafood or butcher meat that is a different story.
