American express fico score

I recently got an amex card and it says complimentary fico scores. Yadada. Anyway when I actually try to click the score link it has always said it is unavailable, and to refer to annualcreditreport.com. has anyone else had this problem? Or is it just down for maintenance?

Yeah DH did but after a week it worked fine and gave him a score.

Is your credit history new?

I got my AMEX in July and it is still not appearing. I think it may be because AMEX hasn't even reported on my CRs yet. My experian credit history isn't that new either.

I got my score as soon as I had access to my online account. Then, 5 weeks later, i apped for Gold Premier Reward and they didn't gave me an HP and 2 days ago I did a CLI and no HP as well!

Is your AMEX account new? For my cards that provide FICO scores, they only have score history as long as you've had the card. If you got your AMEX within the month or so then that's probably why nothing is showing

At first I had quite a few problems accessing links on AMEX. I was using Google Chrome at the time. I decided to use Internet Explorer (after trying for week on Chrome) and I could access everything without a problem. Including my FICO score. If you're using Chrome, give Explorer a try and see if that works.

I am pretty positive it is not a browser problem. It's on AMEX's end since they did not update our accounts yet.

a trick i used as well as many other have is they remove one card from their account and it resets the system somehow , i removed my Costco TE from my account and magically the fico score appeared.

I got my Amex a couple of weeks ago. For the first week access to the fico score link didnt work either and directed me to annualcreditreport.com as well. After calling 2 different times, and talking to literally 7 different people, I was advised that it could take up to 1 month for it to start working being a new customer.

About 1 week later the link started working and score populated. Anyone know when it refreshes?

Mine refreshes on the 14th of each month, which has no correlation with statement cut or due dates.

Mine also refreshes once a month on a date that doesn't correlate with my statement cuts or due dates. In my case it's the 25th, so obviously the specific date varies. But looks like we can count on 1x per month update.

OP, have you asked AMEX? If you don't feel comfortable talking over the phone, you can always use chat or even a secure message.

It is quite possible that AMEX has not pulled a score for you yet.

Others have mentioned that their score updates every month; mine does not. My last update, as of today, was on July 28. Before you ask, I did not contact AMEX to find out why. It is not a concern for me.

My score from Amex states "As of August 8th". It is well over a month now and it has not updated and I know for sure my score is higher now than what Amex shows.

Mine has not updated as well. They pulled Aug 28th, but the scores are dated for the 5 or 4.

I think it generally takes a week or two to post. I would expect them to pull your credit on the 8th and to post it for viewing sometime between the 15th and 22nd.

Some of the advice (like removing a card) is for the link to appear. That does not seem to be the problem in your case. I think an earlier thread reported that it may take a few months for FICO scores to show up on a new account, especially if this is your first credit card. If it is your first card (overall, with any lender), I'd expect a delay of 6 months. If you've had credit cards for longer than 6 months, but this is your first AMEX (as an earlier post indicated), I would expect that you'll have to wait another couple weeks. My guess is that it pops up after you've had the card for two full cycles.

Mine matched my FICO08 Experian score exactly last month.
