What else cards can I get? Current score 640 from TransUnion... any thoughts and recommendations?

Hello everyone!

This is my first post here on the Forum! I just joined yesterday!

So... I just want to know what other credit cards that I still can get based on my current score: 640 from TransUnion... Currently in fair/good range I guess...?

I already had the following cards since I played this credit game They are:

Chase Freedom

Citi Dividend

Discover It

Barclaycard Reward

BOA Reward

First Bankcard - Rakuten

Capital One QuickSilver

Amazon Store card

Paypal Credit

Dell Preferred Account

My total limit line is around 20K, and usually carry about 50% balance... Some of my inquiries have recently been released, so I am looking for some good new cards which I can get approved based on my current credit score and condition, hoping to keep expanding my credit! lol

So, what do you think? Any suggestions and recommendations? Thank you in advanced!

You'll need to bring your utilization way down to boost your FICO score unless you want sub-prime cards to add to your collection :/

I'd just work on paying down your balances with the goal of being eligible for CLI on what you have, no sense in applying for new cards given what you have already

Welcome to the board. You already have alot of cards. What are your scores for EX and EQ? How many inquiries on each bureau and why do you need another card?

I think you are good with the cards you have , i just have 2 cards , walmart and amazon and im gardening with a TU 690 and 12% UTI xd , i want chase freedom or discover it.

You have an excellent lineup of cards. As others have said, lower your utilization and watch your scores rise.

I think your best bet would be to wait until your utilization is below 30%. I think applications now would be a waste of hard pulls.

If you paid and lowered utilization, your scores would be so much better! It's exciting seeing debt paid and scores rising drastically from that. I gained 40 points on all 3 in two months, just from paying off SOME cards to zero.

I know its not what you asked but i think you have pretty great cards for an average score. Im nowhere near as successful yet and have higher scores.

You are carrying a balance on your cards and your score is on the low side. My advice: do NOT apply for more credit until you can manage what you have, meaning, all fully paid every month.

Running a balance can happen, life happens, but normally you should not be running any balances on your cards.

I concur, lower your UTL and try to request done increases. You have all the major players except Amex, get your scores up and apply for them

If the Barclays is one of your older Card pay that one down first and hopefully a 0% balance transfer offer pops up for you. If you get that you can make a lot of them report 0 in a hurry and your score will jump crazy

Your lineup looks like a straight king high there is no need to get anything else for a while.
