Won't hurt your AAOA, but you won't get the bonus for a BCP in the future. If that's a big enough deal, cold app for BCP, but then you take an AAOA hit and a new HP. There's downsides either way. I upgraded from BCE to BCP because I wasn't wasting another HP and AAOA ding on essentially the same product for a bonus. But everyone's priorities are different.

a hp will fade in time and the Aaoa will improve with time as well. A good bonus can very well be worth waiting for since you only get one per product. did you do the math and is your spend great enough that you will come out ahead of where you would be with everyday even with the AF?

By doing a product change you lose the ability to get the 0% apr for 15 months, with a new product you would get a new credit line to help with overall util, in the long run having both accounts would help your AAoAs. It is still a calculation you have to do for yourself as some or all of these things may not be high (or even on) your list of factors, but the benefits of a new account can go beyond the initial signup offer depending on your needs. The cashback alone is enough to cover the AF for two years. These are all things to consider and weigh against the negatives of opening a new account. I product changed my BCP to BC because to me it wasn't worth a HP to open a new account, so I can totally understand not wanting to go that route.
