Discover on Apple Pay 9/16 - 10% Cashback Bonus

From September 16, to the end of the year, cardmembers who pay with their Discover card using Apple Pay will automatically earn an extra 10% Cashback Bonus on up to $10,000 of in-store purchases. Discover it Miles, Miles and Escape cardmembers will earn an extra 10 miles per dollar on up to $10,000 of in-store purchases.

I sure hope this will be doubled with the cashback bonus offer! 20% back on 10k in purchases would be incredible.

ummm I hate apple products but I will borrow an apple watch and and buy an iphone to sell later if this extra 10 percent stacks with the regular 5+5

who knows. but I made more money with android and softcard than most people will make with this discover promo. Over 2 grand. 20 off 40 several times, 50 a month free, 15 off 25, etc.

I've still been too chicken to use Apple Pay and the only thing I've used my watch to 'pay' for is Starbucks. But this would do it.

and do they mean 10% of the cash back you are already earning (so if it's 1% of you use apple pay then now it's 1.1%)? that's my interpretation

Ok anyway, so basically its amazon (not gonna work) department, and clothing... as its almost October.

So if a person spends $100 they will be getting $20 back! That is pretty cool. So the max a person could really get from this is $2,000 if they spend the full $10,000. Not too shabby!

Wow. If they are actually offering 10% back across the board for using Apple Pay, regardless of where you spend, that beats basically any card in existence.

Which leads me to think it's a 10% bonus i.e. 1.1%/5.5% (2.2%/11% with the double promo). That would make much more sense.

As far as it being doubled to 20%, that's probably reaching a bit far, but who knows.

I don't have an iphone anyway, so this is irrelevant to me, but either way a nice perk for those who do.

it makes sense that it's 10% bonus on your received cash back as stated by both you and me, KDM. that's still is decent though. a free card with 11% potential is awesome!

I'm reading it as 10%, not 1.1%. The wording was a bit iffy, but the 10 miles per dollar for the miles card means it would have to be 10%
