Secured Cap One?

hi all,

I have had my Secured Cap One card for 6 months now, using it and paying in full every month. Should i try to request a cli, or just continue waiting. Thanks

Cap 1 does not take CLI requests for their secured card. You may however get an auto CLI at some point. Mine received a $300 increase at around 8 months if I remember correctly.

What are your current scores like? If you've been building good payment history with them you may be able to move up from the secured card at some point.

I received a CLI of $300 once my 6th statement cut on my secured Cap1, be patient it will happen

Scores are still low. 539 trans, 522 exp, 516 equi. I have 2 secured cards i have been paying good on for 6 months and a fingerhut account. Would like to get a 3rd account, even if its a store card but cant find anyone to approve with those scores.

You have three accounts in your credit profile. What is weighing down your scores so heavily?

I have alot of baddies, most of them are due to fall off in a year or two but recently a couple more have been added on from medical collections. I guess only time will heal the damage. I have tried pfd but havent gotten anyone to accept the offer. Through disputing i have been able to get couple removed but not enough to make any real change. Scores started in the high 400's so i guess some improvement is better than no improvement.

Okay I see. Yes you are right, some improvement is better than none.

FINALLY GOT IT! As i was checking my account tonight i noticed they increased it by $300. I know its not alot but its a start.

Congrad.... I have a secured card with capital one. I never did receive a CLI. Lol. But they did offer me the quick sliver card. Just keep paying the balance off every month and they will do the same. I had around then same score as you at the time.
