US Bank Cash+ Visa Signature Pre-Approval offer

Not going to apply since I don't need more cc's and planning to app for a mortgage next year but here's the offer details as an FYI:

I am a US Bank customer, with a checking, savings and premier line of credit, but don't use them, $0 in checking, $300 in savings for min. bal reqmnt, and $5000 line of credit with zero balance on it.

The mailer states:

"You've been pre-selected to receive this powerful card..."

-5% cash back on 1st $2,000 in cmbined net purchases each quarter on 2 categories you choose

-2% cash back on choice of 1 everyday category (like gas or groceries)

-1% cash back on everything else

-No limit on total cash back earned

-No annual fee

-New cardmember bonus of 4100 (spend $500 on net purchases in first 90 days)

-0% intro APR for 12 months, then 14.99%

Well that beats a First Premier mailer! Congrats, US Bank doesn't mail those out every day. I commend you for resisting the urge to app.

Yep. It's a fact and i been waiting for someone else to chime in with one.

I just got a mailer this week for US Bank Select+ Amex with a 13.99% APR (not bad)

Looks like they're mass selecting with targeted offers. My TU was softed by them the last of August.

Only problem is they should have done it sooner for me since just finished up adding some nice lines already.

FWIW, i'm still stuck holding their 1% cash rewards with a sour $2K limit (the same since it opened in 2013)

Really wish that they had paid a little more attention to their customers then they did since they see they been left in the dust a long time ago.

That's what I thought since the $ is the number 4 key.

Do you use the Cash Rewards card at all?

Each of the three cards I've gotten from US Bank over the years, CashRewards in 2009, Cash+ in 2013, and Fred Meyer last December, got a siginificant auto CLI about 9 months after each card was opened. The Fred Meyer card went from $10k to $14k within the last month, and I've used it for some swipes, mostly to get 0% BT items paid down, but it's had some sort of amount on the statement each month.

I had a US Bank cash rewards but did not use it so cancelled it.
